Our Hall is an integral part of our remote community. It is utilised by many of our local community groups, businesses and public for functions, weddings, training days and community workshops; enabling our aging community to get out and socialise. Works required are replacement of rusted guttering; painting of exterior weatherboards and replacement of thin and worn floorboards in main hall area where people dance. Our Hall Committee is aware of these works that need attention for us to maintain a safe and secure environment for these events to continue to be held.

Our project will make our Hall look more appealing for our community/customers to utilise; as well as a safer place to hold events ie. risk of falling through thin and broken floorboards. Being a very small remote community makes it hard to find volunteers and to fundraise to try and maintain such a large timber building. If we are successful in securing funds to complete our project this will reduce the burden of stressful fundraising on our aging community. It will also allow us to employ local tradesmen to complete our maintenance works.
