Damn Good Help is like Tinder for charities and volunteers. By providing a modern, easily navigable online platform, volunteers are encouraged to engage with volunteer opportunities and local charities benefit from direct access to a large pool of local volunteers. By matchmaking volunteer history and interest with charity needs, Damn Good Help encourages rich connections and engagements, leading to ongoing successful outcomes and enrichment for both individual volunteers and charity organisations. With all of the tools of modern-day dating and social media platforms, Damn Good Help is designed to make volunteering effortless, and finding volunteers easier than ever.

With over 100 community groups or charities within a 5km radius in Richmond alone, the opportunities that exist for individuals (16yrs+) across all walks of life to increase their volunteerism is huge. DGH will make the prospect of volunteering easier than ever and attract those who may have considered the idea before, but weren’t quite sure where to start. For charities, DGH will assist them in creating meaningful ongoing partnerships with local passionate volunteers. Damn Good Help stands to benefit the local community in a myriad of ways on an ongoing basis through the power of volunteers.

What a brilliant idea. There is a clear need to connect people to local organisations and organisations to verified volunteers.

As someone who has had long experience working with community groups and volunteer programmes I see this project as an excellent idea and wish them well.

This seems like a very worthwhile project. I've tried in the past to find appropriate volunteer projects, with limited success. This would make it much easier!

I think this is a great idea. It would be great if organisations were encouraged to use this tool/staff encouraged to volunteer as part of their CSR. It's a great way to connect people too.

What a great idea to promote volunteering in the local community. Having access to such a resource would be extremely valuable as someone looking to donate a bit of their time.

Get behind this fantastic idea everyone! So much more than connecting people with volunteer opps. Such a project could break down social isolation and increase community social capital. I hope this project gets a leg up!
