Community Veracity are looking for funding to renovate an existing shed to use as a community recreation area to compliment the addiction drop in centre which we have recently received $62,000 to renovate at the same address (not the workshop/centre). The centre will be used for art and music therapies for clients battling addiction as well as facilitating a Certificate II in horticulture program for kids with special needs and as a general resource area for individuals looking for support and creating connections back into the community.

By having this functional space it is offering opportunities to individuals who would otherwise struggle to connect. We are providing services that help create a platform for long lasting happiness and a safe environment without judgement, where individuals can rebuild self worth. The centre will provide opportunities such as practical industry training for students who undertake student placements, an addiction service to support those in need, and a secure space for youth with special needs undertaking a school based traineeship program. All of these services will provide skills and pathways for local people to get back into the workforce.

A great program which is making a difference in the Geelong community. It is filling a void that exists whilst waiting for help from other services.
