Curious Mechanics Program - A program for Creative Entrepreneurs

The Arts have a powerful capacity to transform individuals and communities. Collaborations between artists and communities result in extraordinary social, educational and community strengthening outcomes.
CMP is a program dedicated to the creative industries and a community platform that enables discovery, learning and growth for artists, and emerging professionals.
Creative industries projects are developed at the Centre with support including:
- Paid opportunities for a 12 week period.
- Desk space at GPAC for 16 weeks.
- Mentors from industry professional.
- Development of performance with professional support.
- Opportunity to develop professional marketing kit.
- Performance opportunity at GPAC.

CMP will provide ongoing support to emerging creatives. The platform will facilitate a long-term program over several phases in a creative entrepreneurs’ journey. It will compress years of experience into an immersive program to fast track business and support artists to create performance work of a professional standard.
The CMP will facilitate community development by:
- Providing a focus for individuals to leverage creative commercial developments.
- Providing artists with new career pathways and work opportunities.
- Open up international networks and opportunities to increase Geelong’s profile on the World Stage.
- Providing opportunities for local and international cultural tourism.
