Cricket Clubrooms Outdoor Area

To extend the verandah on the Cricket Club-rooms. This will provide much needed shelter to park users from the hot Summer sun and also inclement weather.
This can be accessed at all times by anyone in the community using the park area including spectators and players of all sporting groups, Lancefield Show, Relay for Life, local primary schools using the oval, truck show, swap meet, Park Run, dog shows etc. This will be an open, usable area for anyone using accessing our very busy recreation reserve.

As there is no other shelter on this side of the oval, the verandah extension will provide shelter for all park users. There is currently no where for children waiting to be collecting from after school sports training that is out of the weather. Sun protection is a major issue, particularly at long, all day events such as Cricket games and events on the oval. Providing a shaded area to protect children and families will be an asset to our park area and our wider community.
