To refurbish aspects of DSCH, enabling “people of the west” the opportunity to learn and interact with current technologies.
In this bespoke space, Create, make, SHINE will offer social, educational and recreational activities, giving everyone the opportunity to engage with 3D printers, coding, augmented reality programming, app design, virtual reality, etc. THERE WILL BE SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!.
Create, make, SHINE aims to integrate science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) into our community; the possibilities only limited by the imagination.
Create, make, SHINE will be the HOUSE IN THE WEST where you can learn to live in an ever-changing world.
Allows a culturally diverse municipality with many disadvantaged and disengaged people, exposure to the technology they need.
With the changing nature of work and rapid transition to a knowledge-based economy, it is critical that people have the 21st century skills required to secure jobs now and into the future. Create, make, SHINE will provide new and engaging learning opportunities in creative technology, to open up meaningful and beneficial opportunities.
Partnering with a range of organisations in education, employment and commerce, Create, make, SHINE intends to extend and diversify the traditional ‘Community Centre’ programs and to provide new and engaging learning.
