Corryong Memorial Hall kitchen upgrade

Provision of an updated, safe kitchen in Corryong Memorial Hall for the enjoyment and use by all community members. This will help us prepare basic food and meals during activities in the hall. Hall activities include badminton, indoor bowls, concerts, basketball, Anzac Day celebrations, elections, dancing, school productions, seniors entertainment, mothers and babies and local entertainment. The current facility is antiquated, unsafe, unhygenic and small. It lackes cooking appliances, other than a microwave and fridge. Table and chairs are non existent as is provision of crockery cutlery and basic food tools. An Upgrade would meet OH&S standards.

Corryong is a small ,isolated, rural, low socio economic community situated in NE Victoria. Corryong Memorial Hall is the central community meeting place offering many opportunities for social inclusion by a wide age ,financial, ability, nationality , cultural and otherwise isolated community members.
The present 'kitchen' although a bench and sink does not provide hygenic food preparation space nor availability of seating and tables.
The community need a warm, clean, friendly ,practical, inviting space where folk can relax,eat, drink and play in a safe environment during or after inclusion activities in the hall. Memorial Hall welcome community....lets increase that welcome..
