The project will see the existing concrete tennis courts which are cracked and in need of repair, replaced and resurfaced with asphalt and coated of Plexi Pave synthetic playing surface. The playing surface will be a dual colour complete with white court marking lines with new net posts and tennis nets. There will also be 2 bench seats placed up the centre between the 2 courts for the benefit of players and spectators.
Upgrading and improving the Community Tennis courts will provide the community and visitors with a more safe and supportive environment, in which players can participate in sporting activities and improve their skills. This will bring the community together and increases community involvement and interaction, provides social events that the whole community can enjoy and be involved in and encourages the community to become more active.

Tennis courts in very poor state and dangerous

The current courts are in an unsafe condition and it is only a matter of time before someone is injured.

This work is required urgently as the cracking caused to the concrete from adjacent trees makes the current surface unsafe for players , during holiday times these two courts are used extensively through out the day and safety is a prime concern.

It would be wonderful to have these courts upgraded Our family use them frequently but the courts in their present state are difficult to play on especially in the winter This small community does so much to try & improve our recreation area so this upgrade would be tremendous

My family loves using the facilities in Coongulla .

Coonie needs a new court everyone uses it on holidays even through the week and its old and run down make coonie beautiful
