There is no Men’s Shed in Trentham. But there needs to be! A Shed gives space for men to get together, work shoulder-to-shoulder, enjoy friendship and share skills. It reduces social isolation, fosters friendships and enhances men’s self-esteem.
We've got the land (see pic) and people - we just need the funds!
School groups, women, artists and other community groups will be encouraged to make use of the facility when the time can be scheduled, and appropriate supervision arranged.

Trentham has seen too many men 'go under' recently. Men’s Sheds achieve positive health and well-being outcomes for men of all races and backgrounds who participate. In a Shed environment, men can share health experiences easily, and information on how to access health services is available. As well as men themselves, the households and wider community in which they live benefit. Men who enjoy life, find satisfaction in their work and interests, and have opportunities for positive relationship with other blokes, will be contributors. And the possibility of domestic violence is likely to decrease. Healthy men equals a healthy community.

This is well needed as the only Men's get together is once a week to play Petenque it would give the men a central locations to meet regularly
