The meditative garden will provide a quiet and beautiful space for personal prayer and reflection for the public, as well as for the congregation, participants of our Olive Way Community Hospitality Program, and other groups who use our premises e.g. Asylum Seeker Welcome Centre, (ASWC) Tai Chi Group, community choirs, etc.
The garden will be enhanced by sculptures and a mural created by the Olive Arts Collective and ASWC members. This project reflects our values of inclusivity, diversity, community participation, celebration of the environment and reaching out to our neighbours.
Our project will offer the whole community a quiet place to sit in a lovely garden, and contemplate on our mural and sculptures. Located just off the bustling Sydney Road, it will be a space of beauty, inclusivity and welcome, opening up what was has been a fenced-off church yard for the benefit of all.

‘a space of beauty, inclusivity and welcome’.... says it all. A time-out place for anyone- love it!
A place of quiet refuge in the midst of Sydney Road Brunswick.
Great concept in the midst of busy Sydney Road at a place which is highly used by numerous groups.and where hospitality is offered to all.
Great to see the space being redeveloped for quiet reflection and meditation

This would be a wonderful sanctuary in a public space. Available for all. Who doesn't need some quiet now and again!
