Compassionate Ballarat

We want to create a connected, caring community, linked to the other 407 compassionate cities around the world under the Global Charter of Compassion. With your help we will create a dynamic network of compassionate activity and new approaches to issues such as housing, free gathering spaces and the way we relate to each other, while showcasing and harnessing the compassion already at work in Ballarat.
We will support people to initiate compassionate projects by providing resources and links to like-minded people through social media and an interactive website where we share our activities, inspire and grow a compassionate community.

The custom built website, support and resources will make it easy for us to find each other to do compassionate, creative and fun things together. There are many beautiful people doing wonderful compassionate work across Ballarat but much of this is atomistic and so the potential positive power of it is not being realised. We want to capture, showcase and add value to this work by bringing compassionate people and their activities together. By shifting the city focus to compassion we want to encourage our citizens to care for each other at a time of fracture.
