This project will be open to parents with children, particularly preschool aged children in the Springvale and surrounding areas. The project will incorporate:
-Supervised water play sessions for preschool aged children and their parents at Noble Park Aquatic Centre to increase familiarity around water and water safety.
-Beach safety days facilitated by Life Saving Victoria for parents and preschool aged children.
-Infant CPR sessions for up to 60 participants. Child minding and interpreters will be provided to enable parents to participant fully.
Buses and morning tea/lunch will be provided for activities.

Many local families have limited knowledge of water safety and the risks of the aquatic environment. This project will encourage and support the community to develop a love of the aquatic environment (pool, beach, open water) and improve awareness of water safety. Through this project we hope parents will encourage their children to participate in school swimming lessons and support their children in developing water safety awareness and a love of the water.
In addition we hope this project will connect members of the community and support and encourage friendships between families from all backgrounds.
