Community Swimming Pool change room upgrade

The Swifts Creek Memorial Pool features a 5 lane 25m outdoor pool as well as a shaded paddle pool for young children. Staffed by volunteers, and is open from mid November - March.
This community funded facility is in urgent need of maintenance and upgrade. The swimming pool and change rooms were constructed on the secondary campus of the
Swifts Creek P-12 School in 1984 solely with local funds.
We are seeking funding of $200,000 for replacement of the change room roof, improvements to floor waste drains, general repairs and upgrade of shower facilities/fittings etc.

The swimming pool has provided all school students and the wider community an opportunity to learn how to swim and it also allows the whole community a place to come together and socialise during the summer months.
These swimming facilities are a huge financial commitment for our community and it has been extremely difficult for us to carryout basic maintenance let alone upgrade these facilities to a modern standard.
The works required would not only provide a far more safe, secure and hygienic environment, but that modernization of these facilities would increase usage and make them more financially viable.
