Community Sports Program

Our project will offer affordable sports programs and activities such as indoor soccer, cricket and table tennis to all children in an accessible location in the Ballarat community, led by a professional sports coach. Our affordable lessons will allow children from all financial situations access to recreational activities that they otherwise may miss out on while providing a platform for them to develop friendships, build confidence and increase self-worth. In future we aim to offer a wider range of sports to allow children to pursue their individual passions.

Our project will benefit the local community by encouraging children to develop social skills and work as part of a team and most importantly have fun in a safe all inclusive environment. We want to help children to build confidence and self-worth and feel like a valued member of the local community in hopes of lessening instances of bullying and exclusion. These events will provide children with a positive and productive outlet through recreational sporting activities to keep them safe, occupied and off the streets.
