Community Sports Court

Our sports court is as old as our historical school building (well it looks that way). Our court is used daily by our students, visiting schools, after school activities and open to community use. The state it is in makes it very dangerous to use. There are cracks all the way through it, trees growing through the cracks and an ant colony has made its home under the court so we have to contend with these also (and they are not too good at basketball). We desperately need to get the court resurfaced.

As mentioned, the court is used daily by our students. For PE classes, play times and lunchtimes. It is a popular place to be, although, the state it is in is causing more and more accidents. We have other small schools visit us many times throughout the year who also use the court. After school sports activities and community sports could also be offered more often if our court was in a better state. With an increasing obesity problem and the need for small communities to band together a resurfaced court will provide a great place.
