Community Sensory Garden & Mini-Golf

This project will see the construction of a sensory garden and 9 hole mini-golf course at the Nyah District Primary School. The facilities of the school are open for use to the general public outside of school hours. This project would provide a fantastic opportunity for students, teachers & the local community to share & enjoy a fun & relaxing facility. The 59 students would utilise the area each school day, using the sensory garden for various learning activities and playing mini-golf during PE classes as well as recess & lunch breaks.

This project would provide a great benefit to the Nyah District Community. The sensory garden will provide the opportunity for many of the locals to contribute & enjoy the garden as it develops. This will provide a chance for other groups such as the Kindergarten, Men's Shed, Lions, Jacaranda Retirement Village and Nyah District Bowls Club to become involved in both the planning & use of the garden & mini-golf areas.
The project will provide the community with a great new area that can provide both passive & active recreation options.
