The Resilience Project is a well renowned, existing program which delivers emotionally engaging programs to schools and local community, providing practical, evidence-based, positive mental health strategies to build resilience and happiness.
Through presentations within the school curriculum, The Resilience Project seeks to help young people and their communities become mentally healthy.
This project will cover primary and secondary schools across the Pyrenees Shire, inspiring school communities to practice the evidence based strategies that build resilience and improve mental health.
Teacher and community sessions will also be held to deliver practical strategies to support students and build their own resilience.
Young people are our future. We want to equip them with the skills they need to be resilient and mentally well.
The Resilience Project will work across our schools and communities to tackle this issue head on, aiming to create a happier, more resilient community.
•1 in 4 adolescents have a mental illness
•1 in 7 primary schools kids have a mental illness
•1 in 5 adults experience mental ill-health throughout the year
•65% of adolescents don’t seek help for mental illness
These statistics are alarming. We want to build stronger communities for ourselves and future generations.
