We have a Snake Valley community action plan where the Carngham recreation reserve is part of. This is used all year round . It is also a big part of the weekend sporting fixtures for our community. This means cricket, football; netball clubs have all age members. This is part of the action plan that we have worked on in conjunction with the support of other community groups and the Pyreness Shire.
This project is part of the Snake Valley community action plan supported by the Pyrenees Shire. As a growing community on the edge of Ballarat this project will provide more opportunities for families to have a playground that they can enjoy. On weekends when sports clubs use the recreation reserve, it will provide a more family friendly environment. As a local group of volunteers we are working hard to upgrade our towns facilities and opportunities to allow the our youth to engage in a positive way.

It would be great for game days in footy aswell as cricket.

Perfect Idea. Having young kids I believe this is almost a must to ensure kids they have a safe place to play while at the rec res. Cheers

The only Recreation Reserve in the area WITHOUT a playground. Will be great for the community.

Hi I met one of your organisers at the Pick my Project meeting at the Neighbourhood house this week.. I came across this other grant that you might be able to apply for, it is open until the 14th of Sep. it is a sporting one for buying lights, equipment, etc. Hope your project is successful funding....https://www.sportaus.gov.au/grants_and_funding/community_sport_infrastructure_grant_program
