Yes, this cozy Theatre requires updating for children and the community to utilize productively and adequately, and to continue this modernizing and a refresher would be fabulous.

The Bendigo Dance Eisteddfod group has long provided opportunities for young performers to hone their skills and be exposed to performing in front of a live audience. Other community groups such as schools and dance school classes have also used the JB Osborne Theatre for their presentations. This project will update the theatre amenities to enable the youth of Bendigo to access a performance area that will prepare them for their future as performers of music, dance, acting and singing. The theatre is currently and will remain available to all groups with an interest in performance of any kind.
The Bendigo Dance Eisteddfod run an annual 12 day program which attracts dancers from in and around Bendigo as well as bringing performers from outside of the Greater Bendigo area. The JB Osborne Theatre provides affordable access to this and other groups who don't have the finance to afford the Capital Theatre or Ulumbarra. In 2010, the Education Department relinquished control of the theatre and it is now a community run facility which is dependent upon contributions to be maintained and upgraded. Primary schools, dance schools and other performance groups need such a space to ply their craft.

A great space for smaller community groups with little funds. It's Been a great space for hosting dance competition school performances and music performances but is well over due for some maintenance

A wonderfully intimate theatre venue which is just perfect for all the smaller community groups, such as dance schools, callisthenics clubs, drama schools , music groups, and primary and secondary schools performances and education in the arts. We need to ensure that this wonderful asset to the Bendigo and wider community is kept up to date and upgraded so that it is available for all to utilise, for many years to come.

This theatre is in desperate need of upgrading! It is used so much by the local community and also attracts artists from all over the state. Please give our upcoming dancers, singers, musicians and actors the stage and theatre they deserve to perform in.
