Community Memorial Garden

The community has been donated a granite rock to be used to erect a memorial wall which local and visiting families can place a plaque in memory of their deceased family member/s who have lived or visited here over the years . It is proposed that abutting the memorial rock a concrete area with picnic tables covered with shade sales will be erected. In addition further bench seats will be scattered in and around the area and garden to cater for placement of future plaques once the rock has been filled. Drainage and lighting will also need an upgrade.

Over the years many families have had their holidays in and around Bemm River and this area holds many special memories of their loved ones.
The memorial will enable locals and visitors an opportunity to visit the rock and garden which overlook the inlet. The project will utilize the manpower of many locals giving them a sense of wellbeing for being involved in a community project .
With the completion of this project we will see a greater pride in the Community Centre because more people will have been involved in the making of the area as a destination.
