Create local community space with open access for those furthering education and accessing internet based services. It would be a hub supporting social connectivity - addressing mental health (due to isolation) and physical health. Small groups (20) and individuals can use the technologies and facilities including: Justice of the Peace, volunteer Ambulance, CFA, Sporting Clubs, Local Lions Club, Aged Resident Activity & Craft Groups etc. They could access photocopying, scanning, printers, wifi, 3D printers, video conferencing and may be able to connect ICT technical support in a heavy 'communications black spot' part of the state.

We need a place that community members feel welcome to drop in for both a cuppa and a social outing. It will provide the opportunity to access computers (upon appointment in school holidays), the internet, and perhaps link to medical services or meetings via the Polycom (video conferencing). In future we hope that the general public can have access to a 3D printer. Local farmers will be able to access advanced technologies that are currently unavailable to domestic and small business users. The hub may run professional development days relating to agriculture, aged care support, environment, health and sporting groups.

Very exciting opportunity where existing infrastructures like our local primary school can extend skills and embrace the broader community to access and use technologies for all of those things that must be done online these days. Great chance to embrace our local farming community to use 21st century technologies like the 3D printers and scanners (with support) so they can experience first-hand what these technologies can do for them too.

Great idea, especially if there are people around to show me what to do.

Critical that small remote communities have the means to support their individual and community needs, communicate snd share best practices with the necessary equipment to enable effective growth.
