Community Information, Activity, Support and Play Centre Cafe, Feeding People

The plan is to provide a positive atmosphere for people to relax and have fun while providing vital community information. Yarram needs a place where people particularly the youth can hangout, chat and have fun in a supervised environment. The centre will be funded through the cafe and thrift shop as well as hosting a soup kitchen and outdoor community service activities. On site activities would consist of slot cars, video games, pinballs, pool, skittles, putt putt golf, table tennis, board games etc with all proceeds going to expand this and any other approved community projects.

This information: be it detox, Centrelink, justice, family law, domestic violence, isolation, depression, mental issues or just food and support is available elsewhere in town but in a formal and sterile environment during business hours. I aim to provide an informal location where there will be people available to direct queries to appropriate sources. I seek to facilitate a more hands on approach in helping, educating, caring for and feeding the widows and orphans. Outdoor activities would include social upgrades to the skate park with connections to nature conservation and tree planting and heritage restoration and preservation.
