The project will fund the services of a Part Time Community Hub Volunteer Coordinator, recruited to work 20 hours per week. (Position to be advertised)

The Coordinator will set up a database of all volunteers within the Yea Community, to include areas of interest regarding volunteering, availability and all contact details.

The database will create an integrated network which will provide a valuable and cohesive source of volunteers across the whole community of Yea; offering a resource for requests from various groups for specific projects and events via email and SMS.

Networking volunteers from numerous groups within Yea will ensure these groups are informed of activities and areas in need of volunteers. (Rotary, Book Club, Yea Community House, Garden Club, Probus, Pottery Club, and Men’s Shed).

Quarterly newsletters will highlight volunteers' achievements and stories.

Continuous recruitment from the increasing population of Yea will expand the current volunteer network, ensuring engagement in existing and potential future programs.

Liaising with Yea Community House Coordinators will guarantee volunteers have opportunities for participation and enjoyment in activities.

Regular social interaction will enhance volunteers’ opportunities to celebrate and share the benefits and wellbeing of community involvement.
