Seedco Production in partnership with Great Lakes Agency for Peace and Development will coordinate COMMUNITY HEALTH FOOD AND AFRICAN CULTURE.
Aims:
To provide the opportunity to the community to learn their native language.
To promote the health food among communities.
To promote African culture and social cohesion through sport, food, languages.
To encourage young African to continue their tradition culture
To improve health condition for the communities
To develop productivity and build the partnership with local community.
To encourage and teach the community to grow natural food using organic fertiliser.
To promote and teach the community how to sew clothing
This project would make a significant impact in terms of promoting natural health food among community there's no local fresh food shop. This project will create great opportunity for the local community to participate in practical, natural growing using organic fertiliser.
African local community will also gain an opportunity for their young children to practice their native languages such as Swahili and Kirundi using the resources from their own languages. It would have a profound impact for identifying diverse culture. Additionally local community members will have a great opportunity to practice sewing.

New arrivals in Hamilton not only enjoy the benefits of our town has to offer but also bring with them knowledge, skills and ideas that can add to the character and energy of Hamilton. Our African residents bring with them a rich culture of language, spirituality, music, family and farming. This project provides an opportunity for our African neighbours to live their culture and a opportunity for others to experience and learn. This is a project I would like to be part of.
