Over the past ten years Cabbage Tree's community hall has been transformed from nearly derelict to the centre point of our community; multi-purpose, much used and much loved. The original (1963) wiring needs replacing urgently as it's becoming unsafe. The building is also difficult to heat or cool, lacks a functional kitchen, and needs additional water storage and verandahs to protect it from weather and link it to our bbq area. This package completes the hall's renovation and will make the building more comfortable to use and usable for a wider range of purposes.
The re-wiring is urgent for everyone's safety. With a functional kitchen the hall can be used (and hired) for a wider range of events. Insulation in the roof and by replacing louvre windows will make it much more comfortable to use in winter. The hall is our emergency gathering and shelter place but is not fully fit-for-purpose without the capacity to heat and cool the building or cook there. With a water tank we can water the gardens surrounding the hall. The renovations ensure the longevity of the building and ensure that Cabbage Tree has a hall in the future.

I'm really excited to help with the final stage of renovations for our beautiful old hall!

It would be a great asset for our area. I looked at hiring the hall sometime ago but current facilities would have made it tricky to use. good luck
