Community halls are an integral part of rural communities. The committee held an inaugural lawn mower race last year to raise funds for the hall. As the event was hugely successful the committee made a commitment to run the event for another three years and we wish to build on this success by providing improved amenities. One of the competitors was disabled and it was agreed that providing disabled amenities and an additional shower and toilet facility would benefit not only visitors to the event, but would make camping at the reserve a more comfortable experience.

We are fortunate to have new families move to our district and the committee wish to improve the facility for the community to hold meetings, dinners and social events into the future. The small hall provides a welcoming atmosphere and is frequented by table tennis players regularly. We recently hosted 3 weddings and were excited to see the old hall transformed for the events. Negotiations are underway to hold a music festival later in the year. Our aim is to make the hall more user friendly and more attractive by landscaping the front of the hall to increase visitation rates.
