A concrete footpath along Chauncey Street Lancefield from Main Rd through to Park Street. A connecting access link from the walking track on the Main Rd running east to west along Chauncey Street will facilitate safe pedestrian access to all local residents and town visitors. This path will complete the towns connection forming a footpath network promoting safe accessible travel for all in our community.

Chauncey Street is populated by many community groups and is a busy road that many travel to access Lancefield Park. It is classified as a VicRoads "C" road used by general vehicles and heavy vehicles alike. It is a dangerous road for pedestrian traffic with users such as parents with prams, students walking/riding to St Mary's School, parishioners attending churches and people accessing Lancefield Park. It is very difficult to ride/scooter along the grassed area or push a pram and if you walk along the grass in winter you end up with very wet feet.

People of all ages would benefit from a footpath and it would be much safer for children heading to the park for their after school activities.

A foot path and making the Crescent Street safer would also benefit the community, making safer access to the Kindergarten and Lancefield Primary School

It would be great if this project could extend past Park Street for "all" the residents that live on the West side of Chauncey Street. We also like to have safe walking options.

This is such an important project and would be so helpful for all Lancefield residents, especially the aged, school children and mums with prams.

Strongly support this project. Don’t understand how you have have a busy road with a pool, park, school, Doctors and church and not have a footpath
