To celebrate International Slow Art Day in April, this festival will be an interactive program over 14 days. Taking place at McClelland Sculpture Park and Gallery, the entire community will be invited to participate in free daily art workshops including photography, moving image, dance, drama, visual art and sculpture, complemented with mindfulness classes including nature and labyrinth walks, yoga and tai chi. An artist will lead the design and installation of a large scale sculpture that everyone will build collectively by adding a small piece, building it slowly over time as a community and exhibited during the festival.

Celebrate art in Langwarrin! Connecting and bringing families, schools and community together. Through a collective installation, the community will create a beautiful sculpture together. (For mental health) through participating in International Slow Art day, community members will have the opportunity to unplug and slow down, focus on wellbeing and mindfulness, immerse themselves in nature, and be creative. (For education) providing opportunities to learn through art workshops for all ages, school groups, families and professional development days for teachers. Through delivery of an engaging festival, McClelland will attract new and greater audiences; promoting our vibrant community.
