Carnegie Cricket Club has grown from a Club with 4 senior and 4 junior teams five years ago to a thriving 8 senior and 12 junior teams today. Our training facility is no longer adequate to support the club and as a result all teams cannot access much needed training nets.

Extending our net facility will ensure junior players get access to training and development activities and our senior players continue to be competitive.

Additionally, the club's net facility is open to the community and widely used by our diverse neighbourhood demographic.

Carnegie Cricket Club is a locally run community club that supports local business and provides opportunities for children and adults to come together and enjoy cricket.

This project will provide a much needed upgrade and expansion of our training facility ensuring the children in our junior programs enjoy learning the game and reach their full potential.

Our senior program brings the local adult community together in a culturally and demographically diverse setting. We have a mix of competitive and social teams enjoying the club's facilities, this ensures broad community access and appeal of our Club where all are welcome.

Carnegie CC is a wonderful grassroots community club with growing registrations. Due to both senior and junior team formats, We require the use of high quality infrastructure that is safe and user friendly. An upgrade of the quality of these nets and the addition of more nets is required to allow us to run a safe and engaging set of programs.

I have 3 sons involved with the fantastic Carnegie Cricket Club. Over the past 5 years, I have witnessed an explosion in numbers of male and female cricketers at the Club. This means more training sessions and obviously more cricket nets are needed. There is ample room to build at least 2 new nets and re-locating the golf driving box. This really isn't just a desire, its an absolute necessity.

Carnegie unlike other clubs is required to keep open all nets for use and is not allowed to close any as they were supplied by local council. If this is the case then carnegie should be allowed to have their nets upgraded so as not to place undue burden on the club to restore the surrounds by themselves. The placing of more concrete run ups will greatly assist this for use by other community members. Yeata

Carnegie Cricket Club has had big growth in participants and many other people in the local community use that facility. This will be a great improvement for all.

Part of the club for past 10 years... And in my experience... One of the most welcoming clubs for locals, new migrants and students in the area 😁

Very much required. As a past coach of the club and with the clubs growth, it is very difficult to train and teach the fundamentals of the game in the current state

Carnegie Cricket club serves a huge section of community in Glen Eira - Like our suburb, the club serves multiple ethnic groups and has diverse participation. We have 12 Junior teams, a all-girls team and a woman's cricket team - this in addition to 7 senior teams. The club has seen huge growth in numbers and now desperately need to upgrade it practice infrastructure. This funding will provide a much needed update to the facilities.
