With the growing success of our bush kinder program, KRCC is looking to acquire a bus to transport children from the centre to our bush kinder sites. We're also looking to extend our community connections programs with excursions to primary schools and community events along with an 'intergenerational connections' pilot program where children and the elderly come together for singing, dancing and arts/crafts activities. This bus will also be fitted with safety anchor points and appropriate car seats to transport younger children. When not in use by KRCC, the bus will be available for use by community groups and schools.

The bus will enable KRCC to continue our bush kinder program and extend this opportunity to all children within our centre, helping to build strong and resilient school-and-life-ready children. It will also enable KRCC children to be more active participates in the broader Kinglake community, growing a strong sense of belonging.
When the bus is not in use, it will be available to community organisations such as the Kinglake Football Club, the CFA, the Neighbourhood House and Kinglake, Middle Kinglake and Kinglake West Primary schools thereby addressing the community need for increased transportation options to support activities across the community.

This will help children to gain an appreciation of their local environment. These experiences leave a lasting impression on our future leaders.

The bus will be used to provide children with a true Bush Kinder experience at Mason Falls, as well as providing a much needed resource to the greater Kinglake Ranges community due to the very limited access to public transport in the area.

We get a amazing opportunity to take the children out to Masons Falls. But we would love to extends this amazing experience to other places. And the bus we use isn’t alway guaranteed every week.Bush Kinder has given the children such a great experience to build resilience. And beneficial to There well-being.And ours it’s given us the opportunity to be able to give the children a choice. And explore connect with nature and there educators.

Kinglake Ranges Childrens Centre is an amazing organisation, this would be a wonderful opportunity for the Children and the Bush Kinder Program. It would also provide the ability for the Centre to develop future programs to cater for all ages of Children in their care and become a wonderful Community Bus Service for the area.
