Community Comfort

Our community centre has hundreds of people come every week for help, education, recreation and support services. We don't have enough chairs or tables for everyone and the ones we have are old hard plastic. Our seniors and people with a disability who come to the centre find it very difficult to sit for long periods of time so they have to bring cushions with them to sit on or don't come anymore . I come to youth club every week and most of the tables are broken so we work on the floor. We desperately need safe comfortable furniture

Our Community Centre is open and inclusive, but without the aid of safe, comfortable furniture that meets the very basic needs of our participants of all abilities, we are unable to offer a safe, conducive and comfortable learning environment. With the purchase of ergonomic chairs and tables, the centre can support all our residents regardless of age or abilities.
