Community Cinema

The Shire of Murrindindi does not currently have an operating movie theatre and lacks the facilities for community groups or council to hold one off screenings. These events would bring together community to assist in community development and support other community events by making the equipment available. Murrindindi is a very geographically spread Shire with significant drive times between communities. Existing community groups across the Shire have indicated a willingness to make full use of the proposed equipment at existing and additional community fundraising events.

Bringing the community together, including members of all ages and backgrounds, will assist in community building. It will also support efforts to activate rural community halls, and allow community groups to hold fundraising events.
