Our Mobile Food Support van will be used to take hot food, toiletries and blankets to people who are sleeping rough or suffering poverty in and around Endeavour Hills. The van will be used by our food support/community welfare team who will serve the homeless in Endeavour Hills and the wider communities of Casey and Cardinia.
Homelessness and poverty are growing problems in the City of Casey and Cardinia. South Eastern Community Care Inc. (having influence in both Shires) offers food support by way of weekly meals and food hampers to up to 100 families each month. However, we know that the most vulnerable within our community often don't have the means to access our site and therefore our food support programs. Our Mobile Food Support program will ensure that we can take our food support to the most vulnerable within the community and being mobile, we can serve multiple locations on any given night.
