This permanent all weather shelter and B.B.Q pavilion will provide shelter all year round. During the winter months viewing of Football and Netball from the same structure will be a more family friendly choice. During the summer months during the Tennis season it will provide shelter from the sun while viewing the Tennis and will be a sun smart option. All year round a structure that will allow families to have B.B.Q and sheltered facilities.
This project will allow a multi use all weather facility. From the local primary schools sports carnivals to competition football, netball and tennis during the weekends all year round. The local community will have access to the open air all weather facility enjoying watching and competing 7 days a week.

Our small community is dedicated to encouraging the youth of Wahgunyah to participate in all sporting options available to them throughout the year. Five netball and five football teams play every home match plus practice and training. The tennis club won both junior and senior competitions this past year. Coaching is conducted and if the team has a bye the coach and team co-ordinators arrange a round robin competition. The sporting complex is used extensively all year round and the project would be very beneficial to families as they gather together for fun times. The local schools use the facility also. A worthy project for our growing community.

This structure would be an excellent addition to the Wahgunyah Recreation Reserve and would compliment the already great Community Centre and the wonderful new section of the Tommy McRae walking track. It will encourage locals and visitors to make more use of the area and to enjoy the our "Great Outdoors"
