A pop up arts and cultural space exploring the people and places that connect our community as one. Community, emergent and established artists are invited to collaborate through a series of engaging innovative hybrid and multi form art and cultural practices and experiences. Intertwining performing art (movement and music), visual art (ceramics, photography, film, textile art, murals), architecture (design and space), literature (storytelling and lectures) to transcend boundaries between these art forms. A series of five free workshops to be held over a weekend where the community have an opportunity to connect with or extend their arts and cultural practice.
The project will be an opportunity to the community to engage with a diversity of arts and cultural practices, within a central space on the Mornington Peninsula. Existing arts practitioners will be given a platform to explore and extend their arts practice through collaborating with other artists using a diversity of mediums to create innovative art to exhibit. This project will see an eclectic mix of art forms transcending preconceived ideas of various usually distinct art forms. It is a vision to bring together the community as one, in all its diversity, to explore what matters most ... our connection.

Hi Tracey-Lea,
I have two projects. Collective + Seasonal Soiree. They both support arts participation and making on the Peninsula.
Collective is at an emerging stage and a platform to to create something unseen on the Peninsula. It is an opportunity to bring together all forms of arts. My experience as a professional and practitioner is that many of the spaces are where artists walk in and out during their allocated time within a specific space. This project is draw together all these artists into one space to enhance collaboration and cross fertilisation. It is an opportunity for arts making as a community. Imagine a mural of coral where each participant creates a integrated part of the sea bed! This idea along with others, is a way to create together, transcending the boundaries of existing paradigms and spaces.
