Many club rooms have the potential to be utilised when members are not using the faciliy. Local businesses and schools are often looking for rooms to work offsite, for meetings, training sessions or interviewing potential staff for example. Many of our local clubs are in a position to provide these businesses with low cost suitable facilities generally with ample parking. For a small investment and resources the clubs can generate income through hiring these facilities. Local businesses get to support their Clubs, using interesting working/meeting spaces in close proximity. It is estimated that clubs could generate a substantial passive income.

Local Clubs will be provided with a subsidy to upgrade their Club facilities (ie data projectors / screens / key safes) and a marketing budget so they can promote their empty underutilized Club rooms. They can then benefit from a new income stream from hirers.

Over 13,000 Bayside local businesses and the community will be able to support up to 40 local clubs and utilise more options for spaces to hire in their local area. In order to benefit the local community this will be offered as free hire for the first 3 months of each Clubs hiring commencement date.

Looks like a great idea and so easy for clubs to generate some income from an asset that is really valuable outside of the normal sporting club hours.
