Clean Impressions

Mornington Community Information and Support Centre (MCISC) operates the tourist and community information and support centre in Mornington. The Centre from which it operates, was built some 35 years ago and the bathroom facilities have not been upgraded since. This funding will enable an upgrade to the bathroom facilities to a modern standard, which complies with current regulations, both generally and for people living with disability. They'll include a shower for public use. The project is strongly supported by the Mornington Peninsula Housing Network as it will provide facilities that are currently unavailable in Mornington.

The current public bathroom facilities at MCISC are old and outdated. A complete refurbishment will provide a modern and welcoming facility for tourists to the area, the Centre's volunteers and for some of their most vulnerable clients. There are currently no free hot shower facilities available to the public in Mornington. This is part of the Centre’s current work to assist and support local residents in need. The Centre will manage the opening of the bathroom facilities to align with the provision of its services (24 hour access is not proposed).
