Chewton Pool is the heart and soul of our community! It is used by young, old, big, small, serious lap swimmers, splashmakers and little paddlers. As a community owned and operated asset, our outdoor pool opens all summer. But we would love to extend our season. By using a lightweight energy efficient solar heating system, we hope to warm the water in our outdoor pool, increase visits, open earlier and stay open longer. The warmer our water is, the more days we open, the more days our community can spend time splashing, swimming, sunning and socialising together!
Having been saved from closure 7 years ago, the Chewton community owns and operates Chewton Pool. Our pool is the lifeblood of our community- our young people gain meaningful training and employment as lifeguards, our children and older people access exercise, recreation and swimming skills development in an inclusive, welcoming and connected environment. Our pool is managed and kiosk is staffed by volunteers from all demographics of the Chewton community.
Warming the water in our outdoor pool would offer an improved experience for all of our swimmers. Help us warm the pool and add more days to our fun-filled season!

A great idea. a heated pool will along locals to swim over many more months of the year, swimming is such a great activity for all ages and keeps us young and healthy !
