The project will provide visitors to the museum with an immersive three-dimensional experience of central Victoria’s involvement in different theatres of war throughout history.
Central Victorian students will be recruited and guided by the experienced and respected Shirley Spectra staff for concept development, research and staging of a series of 15-minute holographic sequences.
Students will appear as a 25cm 3D characters interacting and speaking about the real museum artefacts, as well as acting as serving members and their families prior, during and post-deployment.

Central Victorians and visitors to the museum will be able to honour and remember Anzac Stories through interaction with real museum artefacts, photographs and film footage.
The project will benefit the local community through;
• engaging local students to research and present stories of different theatres of war that directly relate to their communities,
• revealing local stories of experiences of war that would otherwise be lost or limited to immediate family,
• utilising digital technology to engage a broader audience and a Year 9 curriculum program, and
• providing a rich immersive experience to enhance museum visitor experience.

Great project, will be even better when we get all of our memorabilia collection back into the museum. We have a great collection of items and we will need to rotate the displays so all of the items are available for viewing over the year. Spread the word and vote for us. Reopening date for public is 17 Nov 18

To complement the upgrade of this very special building, funding to include this unique immersive three-dimension experience will be very much appreciated by all who visit. "We will remember them."

A great tribute for all those who fought for Australia. A learning experience for all our students plus an outstanding attraction for Bendigo.

A real focal point in the heart of the city - a natural magnet for so many people, and to visit the place after all the renovations/restorations will be a sensation as well as a moving tribute to those local and regional Australian war personnel who died in wars spanning more than the last century. A place of true reflection and remembrance.
