Castlemaine Primary School Playground Upgrade

Castlemaine Primary School provides education to over 160 students in the area. In addition, a number of families in the local area utilise the school grounds out of hours. The current playground was built over 10 years ago and is severely outdated and a number of components in the playground do not currently fall within the current Australian Standards for Playground Safety. Our proposal is looking to address this issue by demolishing and replacing the playground with the latest equipment and including rubber under surface for both students and local families to utilise and enjoy.

A fun, safe playground environment helps to stimulate students' minds and allows for cognitive, physical and social development. Playing outside is the key to ensuring children have their physical, mental and social wellbeing needs met. We want children at Castlemaine Primary School and the surrounding area to have amazing memories of an inspiring playground with state of the art equipment. Castlemaine Primary is located in a neighbourhood, which has no parks with playground equipment. If we were successful, this project would deliver a quality inspirational playground not only for our students, but for all our children living in southern Castlemaine.
