Casterton Permanent Working Dog Trial Yards

Casterton is the 'Birthplace of the Kelpie' celebrating annually with the Australian Kelpie Muster together with the Casterton P&A Show Society we hold regular 'Working Dog Trials' not having permanent yards is costly, time consuming and expensive in sourcing the infrastructure required to safely hold these championships.

Having permanent sheep yards will enable the Casterton Kelpie Association and the Casterton P&A Show Society to hold more regular events, hence attracting more visitors to the Casterton district and enable other service clubs and community organisations that catering for these events to 'fund raise' for much needed funds. We believe this project fulfills the Great South Coast Regional Plan outcomes to attract more visitors to the region to stimulate economic growth and jobs.
