Replace the existing playground equipment with equipment that would suit a wide range of children’s ages as the current playground equipment is limited to a small age range and not capable of servicing the number of children that attend the beach over summer

Playgrounds provides and encourages children in a safe, fun, challenging environment to use their creativity, make their own activities, to communicate, and cooperate, thus developing important social skills.
Playgrounds allow parents a needed space from their children to interact and play while have a chat with friends and other parents creating a relaxed feeling and improve well-being.

My kids would love this park to be upgraded. We don’t use it at the moment, my kids think “it’s boring and I don’t know how to climb that thing” referring to the current climbing wall. It’s just weird and not kid-friendly at all!
We never use this park which is a shame as it’s in a fantastic location.
We would be here all the time if it was a park that the kids could enjoy

Great proposal - to get votes on board would be good if you gave more details of the intentions and also reminded people of the limited park options for children in Cape Paterson and the need for more community-focused areas to gather and congregate, especially over summer. This area needs activation as it's a rare treat so close to the beach and so protected. Try get up and sell your proposal!! Good luck :)

Would support this but there’s no detail on what kind of play equipment. Is it going to be just more plastic fantastic or sustainable materials?

it is our intention for it to be built of more sustainable materials to suit its setting
