Building Connections and Inclusivity in Gembrook Community

To run a series of social activities for Gembrook, 4 per year, that will encourage the community to come together build friendships and capacity through a diverse range of activities. The first activity/event will be organised by the Gembrook Craft Group and bring together community members through a barn dance, supported by local talent in the township. Other Gembrook community groups including Gembrook Community group, will be encouraged to organise an event of their choosing for the remainder of the year, making 4 in total. This will not only build skills within these groups, but offer diverse activities.

The project aims to embed cohesion within the community through a diverse range of fun community activities. Gembrook is a small community and does not have many public events, and locals have lengthy travel if they wish to partake in many forms of entertainment. This project will not only empower community groups within Gembrook to organise events and activities, but provide entertainment where locals can come together and meet through fun activities and build a sense of belonging to a vibrant, passionate and unique community.
