I have observed that children and teens are growing up in a challenging time, and the incidence of depression, mental health problems, substance abuse & youth suicide is increasing in our community. As result, I have written three books for children to help them understand and express their emotions and the importance of instilling at an early age, a positive, healthy mind set. Using engaging presentations & books around Central Highlands Region in schools, libraries & Early Childhood Centres (also providing a book to each) we will powerfully teach children the importance of these inner foundations for overall health.
I am a passionate advocate for children & wellness. Building strong reserves of self worth, love of self, emotional intelligence & empowering mindsets in children can make all the difference to a person's quality of life. If we teach this at a young age everybody will benefit- children, parents, families & community in general! This empowering initiative addresses all these issues for children- encouraging a strong inner foundation of self love, emotional health and mental resilience through beautiful books & interactive, engaging presentations, which will be important tools and resources that can continue to be used in our local community.

Emotional intelligence and a healthy mindset is what many adults unfortunately are still lacking. Our children who are our future should be taught these vital lessons in life. I personally love Medyhnes work. A wonderful initiative from a most talented writer. Our world is changing rapidly. Medhyne’s messages for our kids and parents helps them to understand and participate in this changing world giving them experiential learning that will be helpful throughout their formative years and whole of life. I think this is a wonderful idea! Medyhne obviously feels very passionately about young people and would be a wonderful mentor and role model ....The world today is so competitive and tough....so many young people feel overwhelmed by life and all its challenges. Medyhne is just the sort of person we need out there spreading a positive message to our young ones who really, are our future. I am a drama teacher and so many kids today have trouble expressing themselves....Millitty Moppitt's Marvellous Moods is a wonderful tool for getting kids to open up about their emotions and be more accepting of themselves. Medyhne is just the sort of person we need out there connecting with the young people of today and giving them a positive and uplifting experience and the skills to live a happy and meaningful life. I believe in this project and that it would be life changing for a lot of kids out there! Go Medyhne !!!!!!!!

Medyhne has a long professional history of writing, performing, healing and helping others, especially children. She has also spent many years living (and raising a family) in the Central Highlands Region. Her passion, creativity and positive can-do attitude are an ongoing source of inspiration to her family, friends, clients and community.
