Nagambie does not have a playground suited for toddlers and has been a vision of many mums and dads for years. A playground that provides a safe environment where children can run around and enjoy the great outdoors, where parents can have timeout without stressing that their little ones will topple from the swing or fall from the slide that is too high. The playground design has many attributes to keep children interested whilst maintaining all safety aspects.
The existing play equipment will be relocated to the Nagambie Recreation Reserve to enable greater use by children 8yrs+.

A toddler playground isn’t just about the obvious: Young children exploring, learning, daring and having endless amounts of fun. It’s also about their parents. Social interaction has moved 'from the town square and marketplace' to the phone, but screens can never fully replace the meeting of two people - adults or children. We need each other. We need to laugh at the impossible and rejoice over the small victories. Meeting places where we listen, learn from each other, and children socially interact and train both their physical coordination and curious minds through glorious play.

It is long over due. There is very little in the way of entertainment for kids in the township of Nagambie. It is a great idea and will be a fantastic asset.

Nagambie is a vibrant and growing community that is sadly lacking in child friendly infrastructure. Safe playgrounds for our little folk will build family bonds, community networks and economic growth. Mostly it’s a great way to have fun with your kids 😁

Thanks for your vote Bowerbird. Safe playgrounds offer our young families the opportunity to get out and about and enjoy the environment in which they are in. Thanks for the vote, please encourage your family and friends to vote for this project.

What a great idea. Nagambie has been missing this feature. Thanks Sissy for the suggestion. A safe playground is a great place for those parents to get a little respite from the little ones and help them burn up some energy. Helps all round really.

Thanks for your vote TC. Yes, we need to look after the parents as well, and this playground has been designed to give them some breathing space when they are out and about. Please encourage your friends and families to vote for this project.

Nagambie is a fast growing vibrant community with a large and growing proportion of people with young children.
Currently there are few playground facilities in Nagambie which are designed specifically with young children and their parents in mind. In peak holiday periods Nagambie’s population swells to over 5000 people and many of these seasonal visitors have young children. A safe and purpose built toddler playground is a must.

Thanks for your vote Goodacre! There certainly is a gap in the facilities available for young children to enjoy in Nagambie. Hopefully, this project goes some way to address the lack of safe outdoor spaces for our young families to enjoy. Please encourage your friends and families to vote for this project.
