To enhance visitor experience to this public landmark, a soundscape will play of personal recollections of wartime. These stories will be of local residents who were part of Australia's defence forces in past conflicts. The soundscape will play continuously on a "loop." This will be something new and unique for the community.

Broadmeadows has a culturally diverse population and a significant proportion of young people. The Remembrance Memorial is situated nearby to TAFE/schools in the Town Park. The Town Park is used as a thoroughfare by many people, including youth. The provision of a soundscape of human stories related to the meaning behind the Memorial will allow visitors and passers-by a more substantial experience and deeper appreciation of our war history. The Memorial will increase its prominence and become an attraction in its own right, encouraging more visitors at times other than Anzac Day. This will discourage vandalism and increase community cohesion.
