Building on the brand and international recognition of the Silo Art Trail in Yarriambiack Shire, Albacutya Silo stands to be the first new addition heralding in a new style and the extension of the trail into Hindmarsh Shire.

Albacutya Silo, 10km north of Rainbow, is ideally located establishing a strategic link between the existing Silo Art Trail and the Western Highway via Rainbow, Jeparit, Dimboola and Nhill. The art installation will drive significant increases in the visitor economy in Rainbow and neighbouring townships. This will secure the Wimmera Mallee region and Victoria as the "Home of Silo Art" in Australia.

The project will establish Albacutya Silo as an iconic tourism attraction greatly increasing the visitor economy in Rainbow and flowing through to neighbouring townships. This will support recent art and tourism developments in Rainbow including the “Oasis” artist hub, and boutique Rainbow Brewery. Not only will tourism and hospitality businesses benefit but the well-acknowledged ‘trickle-down-effect’ of tourism dollars will greatly assist the broad economy of our small rural communities which are largely reliant on the agricultural industry. This project will build the tourism industry as a vital secondary economic resource particularly in times of drought.
