Dadswells Bridge Community suffered a great setback in the 2011 floods when their hall was severely damaged. Since then it received a major restoration and was raised in case of future floods. Sadly it requires some necessary upgrades to ensure safe and enjoyable use. Our community would like to see if funding was successful, an established Native Garden to enhance the grounds aesthetically as it is bare and ugly. This would involve our local land care group Nth Grampians, and volunteers. No efficient heating or cooling has prevented many activities to occur, which is a cause for concern.

Benefits: comfortable usage of the hall to engage in many requested activities to forwarded to the committee. Eg: Yoga and Meditation sessions, Art Show, Food and Wine Nights, Markets, School Holiday Programs, Educational Forums for Land Owners etc, Amateur Players Group, general hire from public, pop up workshops crafts etc, community cook ups making sauces, jams from fruit and veg grown locally to share, musical and poetry nights, gardening. Many benefits are increased from these activities, eg: a social outlet for the lonely, newcomers to town, and well everyone! Mental and physical wellbeing is proven to increase from social engagement.

It would be fantastic to see a great community like Dadswells Bridge receive the funding to enhance their community. Good luck!

Wonderful opportunity to get the residents together for the benefit of our little town. Thanks jackie for getting this started.
