Bridging the educational gap between rural and metropolitan children.

In Victoria there is an unacceptable educational disadvantage in regards to ease of access to quality educational programs. This project's vision is for every child (Prep to Grade 4) in the Mallee regardless of location, background or circumstance to have equal opportunity to access the inspiring programs delivered by Mallee Kids WonderFest.

The program will be delivered at a selected site over 10 days. Schools and students will be able to select workshops from the MKWF workshop list that they feel children and staff at their school will benefit most from. Child and staff education is critical.

At the heart of this vision is rural children's social and emotional well being. Through a 10 day festival every Mallee child will be exposed to activities that they wouldn't normally have access to and hopefully light the spark to their future self. Team building skills, problem solving, creativity and FUN are key outcomes of the day.

Rural teachers also have less access to professional development than that of their metropolitan peers. Rural teachers that attend will be motivated, educated and inspired by MKWF workshop leaders.
