Bowen Therapy for Children with Special needs

This project will provide 480 hours of funded therapy for hundreds of children with disabilities in the local Laurimar and surrounds community. Conveniently located 2 days a week at the Laurimar Community Centre.

Families of children with autism, sensory issues and disabilities need services offered in disability friendly buildings in a close proximity. In addition these families otherwise would not financially have access treatment.

Bowen therapy for children with disabilities and their families will contribute to relief of pain, stiffness and muscle spasms, helping families to improve anxiety and behaviour issues and improve quality of life for both children and carers.

The benefit of Bowen Therapy over some other forms of therapy is that children with autism, disabilities and sensory issues may have the therapy performed through light clothing providing a more comfortable and calm therapeutic experience with very gentle movement for those who have previously been unable to access such therapies.
